Knitting machine nightmare

All is not quite on the western front.

The last machine I bought, the Studio F370 was NOT as advertised and the seller is making life miserable for me.

I purchased the machine and ribber on August 25 and am still without the missing accessories and manual. How on earth are you supposed to set up a ribber you have never seen before without a manual? Or do lace patterns without the punch cards?*

I am completely frustrated and angry with myself for letting this happen. (Not that I can rationally say why I should take the blame.)

I have contacted the seller over and over again and have been as patient and polite as can be. The broken promise/excuses for not shipping emails have become more infrequent and down right rude. The phone just rings to voice mail. At 1 month past sale, my patience ran out.

I have located all but one of the items from stores far and wide. I estimate well over $100 when you factor in shipping to "make this right" as the seller said in her voice mail from weeks ago. Now she is not committing to fixing this at all.

That she has been banned from the Yahoo Group is little consolation. It is not like I can turn around and sell everything to recoup my losses. Very few people would buy a machine and ribber set missing the following at all, let alone for what I paid for them.

I was so excited. I have wanted a fine gauge machine since about 2004 or 2005. Now I have most of a machine. I looked through the pattern book like a kid looks at toys in a toy store. I have been researching structures that make me want to spend hours on end at the machine learning and perfecting and producing. I did, anyway. Now I am just tired.

At least the flat bed appears to be in working order. I just can't do any of the lace in the pattern book or use the ribber without additional expense. And finding those punch cards that were to come with the ribber? Forget about it. I have not found them for sale anywhere (unless I want to buy a whole ribber for another $400 plus shipping). What kind of a deal is that?

This mess with collecting the missing parts has been a horrible nagging weight dragging my enthusiasm with it to the depths. Today I figured out I got ripped off.

*yes, I know I could bust out the transfer tools and do it manually (once I learned how, that is). That's not what I paid for.

Thanks for listening to me whine.

And for the love of kitties, whatever you do, stay away from this chick. She is bad news.
