Holiday Party Attire

Dear Fabric Mart,
This is how you package fabric if you want people to like you.

Namaste,
Lorraine

ps. These lovingly wrapped fabrics cost one third of what yours did.

(can you tell I am still a little miffed about the "couture silk chiffon" tossed in the box without a care?)

I am relieved RELIEVED I TELL YOU! that the red of this sateen and the red of the chiffon are okay together. I am very tired I trying to pull the elements of this outfit together and running out of time.

I also began my search for beads and findings to make a necklace and earrings set and was depressed by the price. Not that I can find anything retail under a grand mind you, but I had hoped to be able to make something decent for around $50. But I digress.

I am not 100% thrilled with the way the red changes the interplay of the chiffon's colors, but the black was dull and BORING.

I actually like it better looking at the photos. I think I have looked at it live and in person for too long and the photographs give a better perspective.

The abstract part of the chiffon and the red are a bit weird together

but I am hoping that once I get the shrug stitched up it will all work out. Now I'm off to order enough sateen.

Oh yes! The shoes arrived and after 45 minutes of tweaking the insolias and getting the foot petals in the right spot, I am convinced they are just about the bestest girly high heels I have ever had!
