More Company Holiday Party Fabric

The Fabric Mart chiffon arrived a few minutes ago (shh don't tell anyone I am posting this. I am up to my eyeballs in work, but had to take a moment!)

It came like this:

I am not amused because the rainy season is almost here and what if the driver had dropped the box? While I am all for minimal packaging, putting the fabric in a plastic bag would have been preferred. (I have gotten fabric packed like this that was soiled from the box.) You would think something they are selling as couture fabric would have been treated with just a little more care!

I opened it in front of a co-worker how wears A LOT of silk to get her opinion. It was "gorgeous" and that I should make shrugs from both fabrics. I called her an enabler. :-)

More shots on my messy desk:

There is great light in here today. The colors just scream. I call this print "the wild one". Yes, the colors are very saturated but truly lovely, none-the-less. The flowers are along the selvedges and the abstract stripes (more like random brush strokes of color) are scattered in between. Love!

Of course looking at the color of the wall (which is a pretty neutral tan) versus the picture on the monitor I can see a big difference. So just take my word for it. This is way super purdy fabric IRL.

Like yesterday's chiffon, it is very sheer but is slightly more substantial and has a slightly finer hand.

Now I am going back to work before my little brain explodes trying to figure out which sateen may go best with this from memory.
